For so long now the world has been cooped up inside the four walls of their home and quite frankly, many of us are glad that restrictions are beginning to ease. Now the vaccine is rolling out, a silver lining has appeared and the fun days out we’ve been dreaming of for the past year or so are finally going to be able to become a reality. But what will you do once restrictions ease?
If you’re excited about getting back out there (social distancing rules apply, of course) then take a look at these things you should consider experiencing once restrictions ease.
Go to the zoo
Zoos and safari parks have struggled during the pandemic, with many having to close permanently and having to rehome many wonderful animals. If there’s a zoo near you, take the time to visit it and support the zoos to help keep them open. After all, what other chance do you have to see such incredibly beautiful creatures?
See a game
Live matches have been off the cards for a long time now, but once numbers are low enough and enough people have the vaccine, live games will soon be back for everyone to enjoy! There’s nothing quite like the adrenaline you feel when watching your favourite sport live from the stadium! Why not book to see the All Blacks or another favorite team of yours? If you’re looking for a real adrenaline rush, going to see a live game should definitely be on your to-do list.
Many people are sick of seeing the same four walls, but are also still feeling a little dubious about traveling abroad by plane or boat – and that’s understandable! However, you can still have time away from home by experiencing the peaceful and natural ways of camping. Go alone for complete solidarity or take your family and friends for some much-needed time away from the stresses of life. Plus, camping holidays are much kinder on the wallet!
Enjoy a long day of shopping!
It’s been a long time since we’ve been able to freely shop for non-essential items, so take advantage of that! Enjoy spending your money on luxury items or new clothing, or on absolutely anything you want!
Invite your loved ones for a night out
One of the hardest parts of the pandemic was not being able to see family and friends outside of your household. Now restrictions are easing, why not invite your loved ones out for a night out? Head to a fancy restaurant and then enjoy a few drinks with some much-needed catch-up time.
Attend a wedding
Finally, many brides and grooms-to-be were devastated in 2020 because they had to cancel or postpone their wedding. If you’ve been invited to a wedding then take up the opportunity to celebrate love, enjoy a delicious meal and drinks, and dance the night away surrounded by people you love and miss dearly.
The last year or so has been hard on everyone, so take the chance to enjoy all of the things you’ve missed, and most importantly, stay safe!
