The first time I saw a screenshot of Pizza Hut’s free bottomless water, I thought it was a prank. I thought someone had edited it as a joke… until I went to the pizza joint’s Facebook page and saw that it was real. I, along with the rest of the internet, was confused.
According to Pizza Hut, “starting January 14, Pizza Hut branches will offer dine-in customers bottomless cold water, for free.”
My first thought was, “isn’t water usually free in restaurants?” I scanned my memory for the times I ate at Pizza Hut and distinctly remembered ordering water. So what’s the point?
It turns out that it’s to promote their new product, the Chili Cheese Stuffed Crust Pizza.
Starting yesterday, customers can try the new dish, which has Pizza Hut’s all-time favorite cheesy stuffed crust with a nice kick of heat, thanks to the delectable chili flakes weaved in. It’s available for all ala-carte pizza flavors for an upgrade of P110 (regular) and P150 (large).
You can also try the Triple Pizza Treat promo, which includes three regular-sized pizzas for just P699. This includes the Chili Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza, along with Regular Cheese Lovers Pan Pizza and Regular Hawaiian Supreme Pan Pizza. In addition, if you’re eating with friends or family, order the Chili Cheese Stuffed Crust Feast for P1,299.
Now I get it. You’ll definitely need water for this one.
The Chili Cheese Stuffed Crust Pizza is now available in all Pizza Hut branches nationwide. Dine in your favorite Pizza Hut store or have it delivered straight to you.
