Joyce Pring is one of those people doing a lot of things. She’s a radio DJ and an events host, and she has time to record a podcast, make music, travel, and maintain a healthy love life. People always say that we all have the same number of hours as Beyonce, but I’ve never subscribed to the idea since the singer has a team of assistants who make sure everything is running smoothly. Joyce, on the other hand, seems to be doing everything on her own, proving that you can do a lot in 24 hours.
Here are some of her tips on maximizing your day:
1. Use technology to your advantage

Traffic is something we face every day. For Joyce, she uses her time on the road to use her gadgets for her business and passion projects. I do the same thing. I usually start writing my drafts on my Notes app during my commute and polish them when I get home. I also do my research on events I’m headed to so I know what to expect. That way, I can lessen my workload when I’m ready to start writing.
2. Find ways to maximize your 24 hours

Joyce recommends being proactive and gaining knowledge in your career. She recommends audiobooks on Scribd, podcasts, YouTube videos, and TED Talks. I usually listen to My Favorite Murder or watch my Netflix shows. While they’re not related to my job as a writer, it does make a dent on my to-watch and to-listen list, and I consider it self-care.
3. Think 360

We may be living in the digital age but Joyce still believes in traditional ways of working. She also believes in innovations and trends. I use my laptop to craft my stories but because I can do it on the go, I can write them on my phone or my iPad. That way, I don’t need to bring my bulky laptop wherever I go. I still haven’t given up on my written planner, but I have decided to keep up with the times by also using my Calendar and Notes apps.
4. Get rest

Not many people realize the importance of having rest. According to Joyce, it’s important to take breaks. For her, she recharges by sketching. It reminds her why she does what she’s doing.
For Joyce, she uses the HP Pavilion x360 to help her get everything done in one day. A durable 360-degree geared hinge lets her work on her business plans in laptop mode, watch presentations and videos in stand mode, celebrate successes and play in tent mode, and write or draw designs in tablet mode. It’s light enough to be carried everywhere, which means users can do their tasks, wherever they are.
The HP Pavilion x360 is available for P38,990 at all HP Concept Stores, authorized HP reseller outlets nationwide, and online via HP Flagship Store on Lazada and Shopee.
