Friends and family know how much I love sweets. Desserts are a part of every meal and I’m always on the lookout for a sugary treat. I just discovered a new snack and they’re doughnuts from Krispy Kreme: the Red Velvet Cheesecake Doughnut and the three variants of the Matcha Doughnut!
The Red Velvet Cheesecake (P55) is a red velvet glazed doughnut layered with New York-style cheesecake frosting and drizzled with red velvet cake crumbs. I like how it’s a ring doughnut – that way the frosting is a ring on top so you get a mouthful with each bite. I like my red velvet with a lot of cheesecake so I enjoyed this a lot!
The Matcha comes in three variants: the Classic, the Macadamia, and the Pistachio. The Classic (P49) is a straightforward doughnut dipped in a green tea glaze. It’s perfect for those who like it simple, but they can also try the Macadamia (P55) and the Pistachio (P55). Out of the three, my favorite would be the Pistachio version. I’m a fan of the nut and it goes well with the green tea glaze.
The doughnuts are a nice break from what I usually have during meryenda and after meals. I’m already looking forward to another one!
