The -ber months are here and aside from the excitement for Christmas, one of the things I’m looking forward to is Halloween. Yes, I’m a scaredy-cat but that doesn’t mean I can’t dip my toes in something leaning towards horror. Netflix is prepared for the season and they will be streaming The Haunting of Hill House, a modern reimagining of Shirley Jackson’s iconic novel.
The Haunting of Hill House was originally published in 1959 and is considered as one of the best literary ghost stories published during the 20th century. It tells the story of a group of siblings who, as children, grew up in what would go on to become the most famous haunted house in the country. Now adults, the family must finally confront the ghosts of their past, whether it’s in their minds or in the shadows of Hill House.

The Netflix adaptation will star Michiel Huisman, Carla Gugino, Timothy Hutton, Elizabeth Reaser, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Henry Thomas, Kate Siegel, Victoria Pedretti, Lulu Wilson, McKenna Grace, Paxton Singleton, Violet McGraw, and Julian Hilliard.
The Haunting of Hill House will have 10 episodes and they will be available on Netflix on October 12.
