As a kid, one of my favorite treats was chocolates filled with strawberry jam. My mom used to buy these in Japan and I would happily pop them in my mouth in rapid succession. As I grew up and my mom’s trips to Japan dwindled, my sweet tooth would find other indulgences. Just recently, I discovered a new favorite dessert that tastes just like it and it’s Jollibee’s Strawberry Choco Sundae!
The new dessert is a masterclass in maximalism: the Jollibee Strawberry Choco Sundae uses the fastfood brand’s classic vanilla soft-serve as its base and generously drizzles it with chocolate fudge and strawberry syrup, then tops that with a crunchy chocolate coating and chewy brownie chunks. The result is a combination of chocolate and strawberry flavors in different textures.
Each bite reminds me of my childhood days where I would eat those chocolates while watching a movie or reading a book. While my dessert and snack choices have changed, there’s nothing like having a taste of classic treats.
