Vivo is set to make an appearance at the Consumer Technology Association™ (CES) 2018, where the global smartphone brand will be showcasing its In-Display Fingerprint Scanning Technology. The feature is Vivo’s first ready-to-produce smartphone featuring an industry-leading in-display fingerprint sensor supported by its global partner Synaptics. The smartphone that will use this technology will be unveiled early this year.
CES is a gathering of global brands and companies with consumer technologies, and has become a stage for innovators and breakthrough technologies for the past 50 years.
It comes as no surprise that Vivo will be participating in this year’s CES. The brand continues to upgrade its products through its six research and development centers. Some examples of its innovations are the Vivo V7 and V7, which was one of the first smartphones to have a 24 megapixel front-facing camera; the Vivo X1, the first smartphone to have a dedicated Hi-Fi quality audio chip; and the Vivo V5 Plus, the first smartphone to have a 20 megapixel dual front camera.
All their innovations have come to fruition. In the Philippines, Vivo is the fastest in terms of popularity, ranking third in the market. To date, there are over 1.1 million Vivo users in the country and 200 million around the world. The brand attributes its success to its sleek design, all-screen display, and the 24 megapixel camera.
This year’s CES will be held in Las Vegas in the USA.
