The best thing about working in digital is that I can work anywhere. A good friend of mine who works in the same industry goes to the beach almost every week, and she takes her laptop with her wherever she goes. I’m a city boy, so I either work at home, or in coffee shops, restaurants, and wherever the mood strikes me.
I used to carry a clunky laptop, but I recently moved to a slimmer version that I can tuck in any of my bags. Now, I’m getting a serious case of envy as ASUS just launched its Zenbook 3 Deluxe, an ultra-slim and sleek device that looks good on the inside and on the outside. And to prove just how stylish it is, ASUS Philippines launched the laptop with a fashion show with Rajo Laurel, and the announcement of Isabelle Daza as its new endorser!
Laurel’s capsule collection for ASUS featured androgynous designs in neutral colors. Check out some of the photos below:
As for the ASUS Zenbook 3 Deluxe, I was treated to a little sneak peek of the laptop and was impressed at how it was designed to look and function. It weighs less than one kilogram and is 12.9mm. It comes in a 13-inch-class chassis, and is gilded by a 14-inch ultra-narrow-bezel display, making it really portable!
In terms of design, the body is carved from a single block of premium aerospace-grade aluminum alloy (50% stronger than standard alloy) that undergoes a 40-step procedure. The Zenbook comes in Royal Blue and Quartz Grey (I love the Royal Blue!). Both feature the unique Zen-inspired spun-metal finish, along with the signature ZenBook 3 series golden edge.
The inside is just as impressive. The laptop has a 7th Generation Intel Core processor, up to 16GB of 2133MHz LPDDR3 RAM and an ultra-fast 1TB PCI Express® (PCIe®) SSD – one of the largest capacity SSDs available. Meanwhile, its expanded auxiliaries include two USB Type-C™ (USB-C™) ports that are Thunderbolt™ 3-enabled, which is eight times faster than USB 3.0 and with support for 40Gbps data transfers. It also comes with dual 4K UHD external displays and power delivery for a great gaming experience.
The ASUS Zenbook 3 Deluxe is perfect for those who spend their days on their laptops. You don’t have to worry about long usage times as this has a 10 hour battery life, and a unique cooling system developed by ASUS engineers.
You can also unwind using this laptop by watching your favorite movies and TV shows, as the laptop has a full HD display and more vivid and lifelike colors through its Tru2life Video feature, a video enhancement technology that moves in real-time. This is one of my favorite features as I notice and appreciate how films use color to tell a story. The audio is prepared with equal care, with a quad-speaker Harman Kardon audio system and loudness-enhancing smart amplifier to create a surround sound experience with cinema-quality audio.
Of course, ASUS did not just launch the Zenbook 3 Deluxe. Along with the laptop is a slew of premium Zenbooks, like the ZenBook UX430 and UX530. Both are elegantly-designed, with thin and light bodies, and large slim-bezel displays.
The ASUS Zenbook 3 Deluxe is available for P89,995 (a limited edition 1TB version in Royal Blue is available for P104,995). The ZenBook UX430 is available for P59,995, while the Zenbook UX530 is available for P69,995. Visit the ASUS Philippines on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for more information.
