We haven’t even finished a month this 2017, and we’re already preparing for another holiday: Chinese New Year. It’s a festive celebration of the Lunar New Year, and people, regardless of their ethnicity, are preparing to celebrate it with tikoy, hopia, and ang pao. I spent Chinese New Year last year at Binondo with some friends, and was slightly traumatized at the volume of people. It was fun and vibrant, but I’m slightly claustrophobic so I might not do it again.
I still want to have a little slice of the Lunar Year, and I’m happy to hear that Grab is hosting a celebration with the Chinese New Year food truck, where they’ll be giving free Chinese food in Bonifacio Global City!
Grab’s food truck will be at the C1 Central Square in Bonifacio High Street from January 25 to 27, from 11AM to 5PM. To avail of Chinese snacks like siomai, dumplings, kikiam, and more, simply grab a ride within BGC!
If you can’t make it to the food truck, you can have Chinese treats delivered to your doorstep using GrabExpress. Grab users must be in BGC and select the special GrabCNY icon. Make sure that you have the same pick-up and drop-off point to qualify for the promo.
I want to see the food truck for myself, so I’ll be going on Friday morning to check it out. I’m hoping it will give me luck for the rest of the year!
