Last year was a tumultuous year for everyone, so I want to make 2017 sweeter – literally. Who else can I count on to do that than Starbucks, my favorite coffee shop? On January 9, Starbucks will launch its new line of Espresso Confections: the Salted Caramel Mocha Crumble and the Chestnut White Chocolate Truffle!
Starbucks’s Salted Caramel Mocha Crumble is an espresso drink combined with milk, mocha sauce, and toffee nut syrup, with a generous draping of whipped cream, caramel drizzle, Starbucks sea salt, and bits of brownies.
The Chestnut White Chocolate Truffle, on the other hand, is an espresso drink mixed with chestnut flavor and white chocolate sauce, with a heaping portion of whipped cream and chestnut drizzle on top.
Both drinks are available hot, iced, and in blended formats, and comes in Short (P145), Tall (P155), Grande (P170), and Venti (P185).
Those who like their coffee without any frills can enjoy the Starbucks® Guatemala Casi Cielo™ (P445), a returning coffee variety that has the distinct taste of rich chocolates, nuts, caramel, apples, berries, and lemons.
Starbucks’s Espresso Confections and Guatemala Casi Cielo™ will go perfectly well with the new food items, which include Mango Cake (P140 a slice / P1,250 whole), Vanilla Crepe Cake (P140 a slice / P1,250 whole), Purple Yam Cookie (P50), Chocolate Doughnut Éclair (P55), and Vanilla Doughnut Éclair (P55).
If you want something more savory, you can also try the Chicken Pot Pie (P70), Sausage Roll (P95), and the Longganisa Pandesal (P95), or something heavier like the Farmer’s Ham & Emmental Cheese on French Baguette (P160) and Pork Carnitas Wrap (P160).
Another returning favorite is the Starbucks Coffee Rolls (P595), infused with the Starbucks Espresso Roast and packaged in an elegant tin can perfect for the upcoming Lunar New Year.
Card collectors will be excited to hear that the coffee shop will be launching the new Starbucks Reserve® Card, which features the Starbucks Reserve® Logo and wordmark set against a sleek black background. The card comes with an initial consumable load of P300, and will only be available in Starbucks Reserve® stores in Tomas Morato (Quezon City), S Maison (Pasay City), Sapphire Bloc (Pasig City), Eight Forbes Town (Taguig City), Central Square (Taguig City), Keyland Center (Makati City), Signa Designer Residences (Makati City), and Jupiter Street (Makati City).
Starting February 7, you can also purchase Valentine’s Day cards for an initial consumable load amount of P1,000 per card. There will be a purchase limit of two Valentine’s cards per customer, per day.
The Starbucks Espresso Confections will be available in all Starbucks stores from January 9 to February 20, 2017. For more information, visit www.starbucks.ph.
