The pandemic may have halted many of our plans, but I still used a planner throughout the year. After all, work never stopped so I still had to plot deadlines, online events, meetings, and other things I needed to do. The same will happen next year, so whether or not we’re still stuck at home, I’m going to continue using my planner to make sure I stay on track of all my tasks. Of course, I’m going to rely on Starbucks to give structure to my days. They just released four Philippine-exclusive designs of the 2021 planners and organizers and I got them a little earlier. Here are my thoughts.
Starbucks Planner for 2021
Like previous years, Starbucks is releasing two designs for the planner. The first is the green Starbucks Siren Planner, which features the brand’s iconic logo. It’s meant to serve as an homage to its passion for coffee, from sourcing to roasting, brewing, and serving. Meanwhile, the second is the Starbucks Teavana Youthberry Planner, which has the siren’s tail in gold embossed on the cover. This one is an ode to the refreshing and vibrant flavors of their Teavana line, especially the Youthberry.
I was instantly attracted to the Starbucks Siren Planner when I saw them. I love how it incorporates the Starbucks logo and the brand’s shade of green. I also found the Youthberry to be too bright for me and besides, yellow isn’t my color. I was thinking of trading my Youthberry for the Siren but the longer I look at it, the more I fall in love with it. It’s such a sunny and vibrant color, and a reminder to stay cheerful even in dark times. I decided to keep it and use it as my gratitude journal for 2021.
Both Starbucks planners come in a hardbound polyurethane leather with the design element embossed on the cover. The pages are produced with eco-friendly papers in a facility certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). FSC is an independent, non-governmental, and non-profit organization sealed to promote the responsible management of the world’s forests.
Inside, the planner is divided by weeks. The weeks are on the left side, while the right is a blank where you can personalize or doodle. This is actually my favorite format because it gives an overview of what my week will look like. I jot down deadlines and important dates on the left, while I plot my tasks on the right. There’s also a monthly view where I put important birthdays. At the back, you can find coupons you can use on your next visit to Starbucks.
The planner also comes with a bookmark, a set of stickers, and vouchers that you can use throughout the year.
Starbucks Organizer for 2021
The Starbucks organizers also come in two variants that will suit two different markets: those who like an understated and elegant design, and those who want something with a pop of color. The first is the Starbucks Reserve Black Organizer, which represents the rarest, most extraordinary coffee Starbucks has to offer. The other is the Starbucks Frappuccino Coral Pink Organizer, which is more fun, colorful, and indulgent, much like their line of beverages. Both Starbucks organizers come with a sleek multifunctional carrier with a zipper pull.
The Starbucks organizer has blank pages so you can write, draw, and journal. This is perfect for multi-hyphenates in the creative industry who express their ideas in different forms. The organizer also includes the same bookmark and stickers as the planners.
Both organizers come with a multi-functional carrier that serves as a clutch bag. It has space for IDs, cards, and other essentials. I can also imagine using this as a large wallet.
How to Get the Starbucks Planner and Organizer for 2021
Like previous years, you need to collect 18 stickers to get the Starbucks planner and organizer for 2021. You can get one sticker for any purchase of a Tall, Grande, or Venti Starbucks® handcrafted beverage in-stores (purchase made through third-party online delivery providers and e-commerce websites will not earn a sticker). You can collect them using a paper promo card that you can ask for in stores, or the e-promo card in the Starbucks Philippines Mobile app. The collection of stickers will start from November 3, 2020 to January 4, 2021.
Starting November 17, you can place your orders using the Starbucks app or mobile device and claim them in stores. The coffee chain has measures to put the health and safety of partners and customers. Before entering, everyone is required to use the footbath, have their temperature checked, and sanitize their hands. Of course, everyone is encouraged to use a face mask and practice social distancing. Read more about their safety measures here.
