I enjoy watching movies at home but there are films that have to be seen on a massive screen. Recently, these movies include Frozen II, Aladdin, The Lion King, and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. These films demand to be seen in a cinema, where you can better appreciate the details and immerse yourself in grand storytelling.
SM Cinema refreshed its Mall of Asia movie complex and I got to watch The Rise of Skywalker in its all-new theater. I was able to enjoy the epic Skywalker finale in the premium Director’s Club Cinemas, which has a large advanced laser projection system and Dolby Digital Surround Sound.
Those features are cool but my personal favorite is its intimate suite of leather full-recliner seats, which allowed me to sit in all sorts of ways while watching the surviving Resistance face the First Order. It’s a perfect feature for restless people like me. In fact, I have a few friends who aren’t fans of Star Wars who fell asleep because the seats were so comfortable. Speaking of comfort, Director’s Club also has its in-theater butler service so you don’t have to worry about getting food.
Another thing I loved is how the seats are high, which means I don’t have to slouch so the person behind me can still see the screen. Being six feet tall has its disadvantages, guys.
SM Cinema Mall of Asia’s Regular Cinemas is just as cool, with comfortable spectator seats, 7.1 Surround Sound setup, and RGB Laser Projection System. There really is something for everyone at SM Cinemas. You can choose from the Director’s Club, Regular Cinema, IMAX, Large Screen Format, and Event Cinema. Personally, I recommend you splurge on Director’s Club because of its great features.
Viewers can also enjoy state-of-the-art facilities, year-round installations, and movie-centric activities. If you weren’t able to catch The Rise of Skywalker, you can still catch it on December 8, 2020!
