I enjoy rewarding myself for small wins. It’s a way to say thank you for the hard work that I’ve done for a project, and at the same time, motivate myself to finish something and make sure I do a damn good job. So how do I do it? How do I celebrate success?
There are plenty of simple but impactful ways I reward myself. It can be with a small treat, like a favorite snack or dessert when I’m eating out. For particularly big wins, I use it to justify buying things I’ve had my eye on for a while. As I grow older, though, my tastes have mellowed. I celebrate success by sleeping early or taking naps, watching a movie or a few episodes of a series, or staying in bed to read a book. If I’m in the mood, I pour myself a drink, which is a universal way of acknowledging a win.
For alcohol, one of the most popular ways to celebrate is with a glass of Chivas Regal, a pioneer of blended Scotch whisky. The brand introduced its latest global brand campaign called Success is a Blend, which celebrates the belief instilled by founding brothers James and John Chivas, that blended is better, in life and in Scotch.
To bring the campaign to life, Chivas Regal Philippines introduced twins Richard and Raymond Gutierrez as its brand ambassadors. Even if they are part of a showbiz dynasty that has spanned decades, they have carved their own path within and outside the industry, making names for themselves in their own right.
Richard has starred in blockbuster films and top-rated TV shows. He has also ventured into underwater photography and is set to have his first exhibit in 2020. On top of that, he is a motorbike enthusiast.
On the other hand, Raymond has shined as an events and TV host, and is a staple at all of Manila’s chicest parties. He also made news for his fitness transformation. Today, he is one of the most influential people in wellness, events, and entertainment.
The two prove that success is a blend, much like Chivas Regal. It’s also a great drink to have when celebrating wins, big or small. I know what I’ll be having this Friday.
