The streets are darker and the holiday cheer is not as cheerful, but there’s one holiday tradition that seems getting stronger: the mad race to collect stickers for Starbucks’ planners. This year, the brand released the designs for 2018 and I have all the details for you!
This year’s planners come in two designs inspired by the Starbucks Kape Vinta card. The first one comes in blue and green hues inspired by the calm of the season, while the second one is more colorful with green, purple, and orange colors. Both are wrapped in elegant leather sleeves, with the first design enclosed in tan leather and the second design wrapped in dark brown leather.
As an added bonus, there’s a cute stencil and a calendar that can be folded in the shape of a cup! Both designs come in regular and mini sizes.
The pages come in a monthly and weekly format. I like that the monthly format also has space for you to list down the things you need to do for the month. This is perfect for someone like me who loves lists.
Like last year, the monthly pages have interactive activities. In February, you can attach your photo and the photo of your Valentine, while in July, you can design your own Starbucks card.
The weekly planner is on on the right side of the page (it was on the left last year), with the left side of the page kept blank. It’s up to you what you want to do with it, but I personally line it and list down the things I need to do write each day.
To celebrate Starbucks’ 20th year in the Philippines, each card comes with a special edition Kape Vinta Card. If you activate it with a minimum of P300 and register it to your My Starbucks Rewards account from January 1 to 31, 2018, you will automatically qualify for a month’s worth of Grande handcrafted beverages and a year’s worth of Grande handcrafted beverages. Starbucks will be awarding 20 customers for each category.
You can start collecting stickers for the Starbucks planner from November 2, 2017 to January 8, 2018. You must simply get a Starbucks Christmas Traditions Promo Card and accumulate 18 stickers. One sticker is the equivalent of one handcrafted beverage, and you must buy nine holiday beverages and nine core beverages (except bottled).

Because it’s the Christmas season, I will be raffling off one copy of the Starbucks 2018 planner in the tan leather sleeve! Simply click this link, follow my Instagram account, comment on the Instagram post why you should win, and tag someone who should join, too. I will also give away other items for the runners-up. I will announce the winners on November 6 on this post, and I will also contact you via Instagram.
Thank you so much for sharing your stories with me. Some made me smile or laugh, and many touched my heart. As much as I would love to give everyone a planner (I spent an hour collating, reading, and choosing), I can only give one. I’m also giving away a Starbucks tumbler with a gift certificate for a tall handcrafted beverage to three people!
The winner of the planner is @j0hnnynepp, who made an effort by turning Starbucks into an acronym and assigning values that embody him and Starbucks. K stood for “kindhearted” because he’ll be giving the planner to his mother, a teacher!
I’m giving a tumbler with a gift certificate to @vincebalahan, who is about to enter college! College can be stressful so always stay hydrated using your tumbler. The GC is twofold: one, it’s my way of congratulating you, and two, you’re going to need the caffeine.
I’m also giving a tumbler with a gift certificate to @mariebernadette_, who experienced less stress-induced meltdowns when she started using planners. I’m sorry I can’t give you a planner, but let me buy you a cup of Hot Chocolate to get you through the tiring days.
Lastly, I’m giving a tumbler with a gift certificate to @chippythefluff, an adorable doggo who wanted to get her hooman a planner to help with school! Chippy even tagged Esther, her poodle friend. So cute! Your hooman can use the tumbler to bring coffee to class. Remind her that the GC is to take you on a date!
