Gotham, iZOMBIE, and Blindspot are Renewed For New Seasons!

News about TV shows has been sad lately because of cancellations. It’s hard not to feel down when your favorite shows are put on the chopping block, but I’d rather they end on a high rather than prolong their agony. Besides, they will also be there for rewatching. Thankfully, most of the shows I like have been renewed for new seasons, and I’m casually waiting for them while I enjoy recent drops like the fifth season of House of Cards and old shows like The Twilight Zone and Batman: The Animated Series.

Three of Warner TVs shows have been renewed, and I’m excited to catch up on them. I hope it won’t take too long before they release new episodes!

Gotham is set in the Batman city of the same name. Here, a young James Gordon (who would later become Commissioner Gordon, Batman’s ally) is tasked to solve the murders of Thomas and Martha Wayne. He befriends their young son Bruce, who motivates him to find his parents’ killer. In Gotham, he meets popular Batman villains like the Penguin, the Riddler, Catwoman, Poison Ivy, Two-Face, and more.

The series closed its third season on June 5, 2017. All three seasons have generated positive reviews from critics, so it’s no surprise that it was renewed for a fourth season last month. No word yet when the next season will air.

iZOMBIE stars Olivia “Liv” Moore, an overachieving medical student who turns into a zombie at a boat party. She has to eat brains, which gives her the power to experience their flashbacks. She gets a job at the King County Morgue, where she eats the brains of the people she autopsies to help solve murders.

This intriguing show is well-loved, winning Best New Fandom of the Year at the 2015 MTV Fandom Awards and Best Make-Up in a Dramatic Series at the 2016 Leo Awards. Reviews have noted its different take on zombie culture, and it was renewed for a fourth season last month. No word yet when the next season will air.

Blindspot centers on a mysterious tattooed woman found naked in the middle of Times Square in New York. She has no idea who she is or where she’s from, but the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) realize that the tattoos on her body have clues to crimes they have to solve.

Critics love the intrigue of Blindspot, and the series has been renewed for a third season. No word yet when the next season will air.
